Eve sat at the bench. Alone. Oh we she was always alone. Did it matter at all anymore. She was away from home. That was all that mattered. She slightly wondered where her brother had gone but she knew he was fine being alone. He was a big boy now... He could survive.
Eve moved her foot in the dirt spacing off. Trying to forget what had been happening at home. Why was it all her fault. It was her fault they got caught... She moved her legs onto the bench and sat criss crossed.
She reached into her pocket tacking out her i pod then put the ear phones in her ears. She scrolled the songs until she found a good one... Panic! at the disco... Build god then we'll talk. She loved the song, she loved most of Panic's songs anyway...
It was such a quiet day today... She could hear the birds in the trees and the children playing. She watched a mother pick up her child whom had just fallen and scraped himself. It pained her to watch this.
The memories tore her apart...
"Mommy where are you going?"
"Stay at the park I'll be back."
Lier! She lied to me! She left me there alone. She tried not to think of that particular memorie... If only she could forget... There was nothing she could do about it though.

Diego strolled through the park on his way back to work, it just so happened that the park was directly between his house and the garage therefore it was easier for him to walk through it then walk all the way around it. He enjoyed the summer days he found it was much nicer for him to work when it was warm in the yard with the radio going than in the cold garage with the rain tipping down on the roof for company.
He sighed to himself and dug his hands deeper into his dark denim jean pockets; he was wearing his usual white shirt only it had oil stains on from earlier at work. He had ditched his usual leather jacket it was just to warm to wear it today, he frowned to himself as he found a wrench in the pocket. He had forgotten he’d put it in there earlier, it was odd he hadn’t noticed it before it was rather heavy to keep in his pocket.
As he went to place it back in his pocket the wrench slipped from his fingers “bugger” he said loudly as it hit the floor hard and slid under a bench. He was about to pick it up when he noticed a girl upon the bench, he recognized her from school but had rarely spoken to her. He didn’t like to just go rooting around under her bench not sure if she would get the wrong idea so instead he approached her with his usual swagger and pointed to the wrench that lay beneath the bench “do you mind?” he asked, inclining his head to the wrench hoping she would retrieve it for him and he could be on his way.

She watched Diego walk into the park. Wonderful a person... She thought, I wanted to be alone. Well it looks like he's just passing through. She looked back at the floor spacing off. It was so sunny and pretty out today, she thought as she moved her foot across the floor.
She heard him get closer. She didn't care anyway. She suddenly heard a loud noise and she looked up to see he had dropped something. "Bugger." she also heard him say and watched as the wrench went under her bench. When he asked her the question she reached under the bench and handed him the wrench without saying anything.

Diego watched her look at him with an unamused expression which for some strange reason he found quite funny; he couldn’t help but stifle a grin as she passed it to him. “Errr thanks” he said taking it off her and placing it casually back into his jean pocket. He reminded himself to check his pockets before leaving work again or else he might end up being accused of stealing.
“Have I seen you at Sunny Boulevard prep?” he asked curiously, wondering if he was right about seeing her at the school or if he’d mixed her up with some other girl. Diego knew he couldn’t dawdle too long and be late for work but to tell you the truth he just wasn’t in the mood for disappearing under a car for several hours. Although he loved the job he would much prefer to spend it somewhere like the park

She had a feeling she was to be asked something. It would do no good if she just stayed quiet and said nothing so she decided she would at least answer him. She didn't have a thing to do but he did look like he was in some sort of a hurry. She noticed the smile. Was it because she was so quiet? It confused her but she wouldn't say anything about that...
"Probably. I go to school there..." she said quietly. She didn't exactly love her school but she was glad to have somewhere to go besides home... Actually he was one of the first people she had talked to...
