Natsuhi sat down at the table, setting down her coffee and her bag. She wasn't hungry but she didn't really feel like schoolwork at the time. She looked around at the picnic area, seeing no-one around. She heaved a sigh. She looked over to see a Yew tree and suddenly cheered up. She remembered the song she'd been taught while she was there, the Scottish brogue of the woman who sang it. It came to her head as though it were only a day since she'd been taught it. She started off the low note, her accent coming back from the three years she'd spent there.
A mile frae Pentcaitland, on the road to the sea Stands a yew tree a thousand years old And the old women swear by the grey o' their hair That it knows what the future will hold For the shadows of Scotland stand round it 'Mid the kail and the corn and the kye All the hopes and the fears of a thousand long years Under the Lothian sky
My Bonnie Yew Tree Tell Me what can You see
Did you look through the haze o' the lang summer days Tae the South and the far English border A' the bonnets o' steel on Flodden's far field Did they march by your side in good order Did you ask them the price o' their glory When you heard the great slaughter begin For the dust o' their bones would rise up from the stones To bring tears to the eyes o' the wind
My Bonnie Yew Tree Tell Me what can you see
Not once did you speak for the poor and the weak When the moss-troopers lay in your shade To count out the plunder and hide frae the thunder And share out the spoils o' their raid But you saw the smiles o' the gentry And the laughter of lords at their gains When the poor hunt the poor across mountain and moor The rich man can keep them in chains
My Bonnie Yew Tree Tell Me what can You see
[First Three verses of "The Yew Tree", a Scottish Folk Song]

It was not really lunch time yet but Andres found himself hungry. He also had a free period right now and he had just been walking along the halls of the school. He decided he may as well head outside to the Picnic area of the school. But first he made a stop at his locker and grabbed out an apple and a water which was only about a hall away from outside. He made his way outside and glanced around. He was sort of surprised nobody was outside right now because others had a free period. But as he looked around some more he noticed there was a girl out there too.
He grinned to himself at least he was not going to be alone he was not looking forward to that because he was a peoples person. He walked over to her table and smiled at her. " Hey I'm Andres Stone and you are?" he asked her sitting down across from her. He knew it was a bit direct but that was who he was he didn't care what people really thought of him he was a peoples person and always went up and introduced himself to random people even if they didn't like it. " Mind if I sit with you?" he asked her even though he had already sat down. if she didn't want him to sit here all she had to do was say so and he would move.

Natsuhi saw a boy about her age coming towards her from the school. "Hi," she said, smiling, "I'm Natsuhi Nakono." She sipped her coffee, taking in the warmth happily. "Nice to meet you." Wow, that was quite a frank way to introduce himself, she thought, though I don't really mind. She took another sip from her coffee.
"What brings you here?" She asked, thingying her head to the side questioningly. She pulled her jacket around her, glad for it's warmth. It was awfully chilly outside for lunch.

Andres smiled at the girl glad that she had not gotten upset at him for just sitting down like that. He had met many people that had gotten mad at him and many people that had not much cared. But it never really bothered Andres much when people got mad if they got mad so be it he would just try to find someone better to talk to. He heard her introduce her name it was a nice name but a mouth full. " Unique name.." he paused a bit. " Nice to meet you too Natsuhi" he said with a grin on his face as he took a bite of his apple now.
Andres shrugged a bit when she asked him what brought him out here. " Well, it's free period for me and I had nothing better to. Plus I was kind of hungry.. what about you?" he asked her. Glancing around a bit it still baffled him a bit that no one else was out here. There was usual more then two people outside during his free period but then again it was kind of cold outside. He glanced around a bit really hoping his mom or dad did not happen to walk the halls and see him outside with just a T-shirt on they may get mad at him because he was sick and they won't want his treatment getting the better of him. But right now he really could not feel the cold outside he was actual just right. That won't stop his parents from throwing a fit though he sighed a bit at the thought staring down at his water then glancing back up at the girl waiting for her to respond now.

She smiled when he noted on her name. "It's Japanese and it's not even my full name. If I said it you'd get confused, And it's really hard to draw out the characters for it." She shrugged.
"I have free period too," She said, "I wanted to get outside though. I wasn't really hungry though." She almost heard Liz's voice go off in her head. You need to eat something once in a while, she heard in her head. She smiled lopsidedly, amused by her own thoughts.

Andres laughed a bit when she exclaimed it was not even her full name. " Really!? and to think I was already trying to come up with nicknames for you when you already have one and thats what your using.." he stated jokingly a bit. Andres always thought his name was sort of unique it reminded him of names that were from like the 1700's where there was Prince and Princess's along with his brother Beau name they sounded really fancy not that he minded because he really didn't but his name compared to her name hers was much more unique but he figured if he was to go to Japan it may not be as unique as he thought.
" Thats cool then.." he stated with a short smile as she said that she had free period. " Maybe we will be seeing more of each other then..." he said with a slight shrug. But she may not even want to see him again some people got annoyed by how he could not sit still and was really talkative for the most part anyways he was. But now a days he had been getting some mood swings from his treatment. " I was hungry.." he said with a short laugh pointing to his apple and taking another bite. " Did you eat breakfast?" he asked her.

She smiled when he was shocked by the fact that Natsuhi was her nickname. She hadn't even bothered to tell Tyler when she met him. "It would make sense if my nickname were star but I never thought of using it. My full name is the Japanese word for Mars. Natsuhiboshi, the crying star." She smiled. She found Andres to be an interesting name as well. Like Andrea Boccelli, she thought, only spelled differently.
"Yeah," she said, smiling. She bit her lip when he asked about breakfast. "Did I eat breakfast," she murmered to herself. "I think I did, " she said, knowing that it must sound weird, "But I'm not sure. I really don't eat much until dinner."
